One-on-one Hindi lessons run 80 minutes a week with a single instructor who builds the sequence around you, starting from an honest look at your current level. You can meet at our Costa Mesa institute, online from anywhere, or at a place of your choosing.
Hindi has no group class running on the current schedule, so one-on-one is how students study it here. A package of eight private lessons costs $800, plus a one-time $50 registration fee for new students, and you can start in any week rather than waiting for a term to open.

The Institute has taught in Southern California for over twenty years and works with more than 3,000 students a year. Here is what students say about learning with us.

How a Private Hindi Lesson Works
We sell private lessons in packages of eight 80-minute sessions. Students already enrolled in one of our group classes can book individual lessons instead of a full package, which is the usual arrangement for someone who wants concentrated work on one weak point before a trip or an exam.
Someone who grew up hearing Hindi at home needs almost nothing of what a true beginner needs. A traveler with a month before a trip needs something different again, and a private schedule can be arranged around the date rather than an eight-week term.
Why One-on-One Is the Route Here
There is no group Hindi class on the current schedule. Rather than hold students on a list until enough people want the same level at the same hour, we teach Hindi privately, which means you can begin in any week of the year at whatever point you have reached.
That suits who studies it. Hindi students here tend to split between people with family connections to the language and people learning it from nothing for work or travel, and those two groups would not sit comfortably in the same class even if one were running.
The script is the usual dividing line. Plenty of students speak some Hindi and read no Devanagari at all, and reading is easier to build one-on-one than in a room moving at a fixed pace.
Semi-Private Hindi Lessons
Semi-private lessons are the option when you want to share the sessions with someone working at a similar level, which suits couples preparing for the same trip, coworkers who need the same workplace vocabulary, or a parent and child learning together. The curriculum still gets built around the people in the room rather than a fixed syllabus, and the cost per student comes down because the instructor’s time is shared. Call (714) 662-5400 to arrange one and to confirm Hindi instructor availability.
What Private Hindi Lessons Cost
Eight private lessons cost $800, and new students pay a one-time $50 registration fee. That package is the usual starting point rather than a fixed product, so tell us if a different number of sessions or a different lesson length fits your goals better, and semi-private lessons bring the cost per student down again.
A group Hindi class runs $295 for an eight-week term and meets for 80 minutes a week alongside up to fourteen other students, so the private rate reflects an instructor’s full attention and a curriculum written for one person. Our pricing for group, private, and corporate programs lists every option side by side.
Who Your Hindi Instructor Will Be
Our roster runs to more than seventy instructors across the languages we offer, and Hindi tutoring comes from native speakers whose English is strong enough to explain grammar in the language you understand best. We hire for teaching credentials or advanced degrees alongside real classroom experience.
Private students work from the same university texts our group classes use, with the sequence rearranged to suit one learner. The Institute has taught in Southern California for over twenty years and works with more than 3,000 students a year.
Hindi Tutoring for Children and Teenagers
Private lessons are open to students of any age, and children keeping up a family language are a large part of who studies Hindi with us. There is no children’s Hindi group class, so one-on-one is the route for younger students.
Tell us what the student already understands and what you want them to be able to do. The instructor builds the sessions around that rather than starting a standard beginner course they do not need.
Where Lessons Happen
Most students meet their instructor at our institute at 600 Anton Boulevard, Suite B in Costa Mesa, where there is parking on site. Lessons also run online, which suits anyone whose commute or schedule makes a weekly drive difficult, and we can send an instructor to your home or office instead. Tell us which format you want when you get in touch.
Students come to us from across the county, including Irvine, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, Tustin, Anaheim, Fountain Valley, and Orange. The online option puts the same instructors within reach wherever you happen to be.
Start Private Hindi Lessons
Send us the form below and the office will take it from there. Someone reads every inquiry, talks through your level, your goals and the times you can meet, then matches you with an instructor who fits and confirms the schedule with you. Nothing is booked or charged at this stage, so you are free to ask what you like first.
If you would rather talk it through, call (714) 662-5400 Monday through Thursday from 10:30am to 9:00pm and Friday from 10:30am to 2:30pm, or email info@oclanguages.com. Students who already know what they want can go straight to the private lesson registration and payment form, and anyone still weighing the two formats can check the Hindi group class schedule.
